As we reported in our March newsletter, the 11th Annual Christie/Cummings Ski Day raised almost $30,000 which is going to support the purchase of surgical equipment.

Meet Debbie Kesheshian!
Debbie is our newest member of the G&M Hospital Foundation team. "I work closely with donors who are interested in particular areas of care or specific equipment," says Debbie. "I also work at marketing the planned giving program to build our Endowment Fund which will ensure the G&M has the best equipment to meet the needs of our community today and well into the future."

5th Annual Celebration of Life Memorial Service - April 19th
The Pastoral Care Committee of the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital and the G&M Hospital Foundation are pleased to host their 5th Annual Celebration of Life Memorial Service in the Hospital's Dining Room on Monday, April 19th at 7:30 pm.
The celebration is a non-denominational service for caregivers, family & friends to celebrate the life of people who have passed on.
Rev. Bruce Loveless, Day Chaplain at the G&M says, "This service has proven to be helpful and comforting to the bereaved by providing remembrance of their loved one."
This special event is sponsored by the G&M Hospital Foundation. Everyone is most welcome and if you wish to attend, please notify Anne Anstey at 445-2550 Extension 8201.

Smart Planning = Wise Giving
Planning for the Future
Planning for the future is important to everyone. Estate planning is vital to ensure we have enough money to carry us through our life, provide for our families and help our community.
We invite you to join us and special guest speaker Malcolm Burrows for lunch and a valuable seminar on estate planning. This free luncheon seminar will be held at The Bear Estate (Cranberry Resort) on Tuesday, May 4th. Registration begins at 11:30am, with a luncheon buffet following at noon. Prevention and Early Detection of Cancer

The G&M Foundation's Education Committee has organized a very useful evening of free information on the prevention and early detection of cervical, colon and skin cancer. Packed with great information and compelling professional speakers, this free event features G&M Physicians who will share with you their medical advice in a panel format. There will be time for discussion at the end of the session.
