95.1 The Peak FM~Hospital Christmas Draw Very Successful!
Thanks to more than forty retail outlets who helped us by selling draw tickets, we sold over 16,000 tickets!
Our supporters not only bought draw tickets, but they also donated a tremendous amount of valuable prizes (worth more than $28,000!).
The G&M Hospital Foundation raised $32,857 through our 30th Annual Peak FM~Hospital Christmas Draw. These funds will go to purchase necessary surgical equipment to keep our Hospital ready to care for our valued patients. For example, our operating room needs 4 pain control pumps and they are valued at $5,000 each. We also need a second set of hip/knee replacement operating instruments; they cost $9,100. So, your gifts will go to purchase equipment our surgical team needs.
Over the past 30 years, our annual Peak FM Hospital Draw coupled with the online auction has raised over $577,000! With no dependable government funding for equipment, you can imagine how much our community and the Hospital appreciates your support.
Thank you once again to the local businesses and residents who generously donate prizes, The Peak FM, our volunteers and our draw ticket purchasers for supporting our community Hospital!

So What Do You Do?
Profiling our Foundation Volunteers
Meet Robbie Ross! Robbie is the Chair of the Foundation's Annual Giving Committee. He has been with Annual Giving for about eight years and says the role involves leading monthly meetings and working closely with the other volunteers and staff on the committee. Each of the committee members has a portfolio responsibility for Annual Giving such as the Tree of Life campaign or the Triathlon event. Says Robbie, "We have now streamlined the whole process of dealing with each specific area."
So, what exactly is Annual Giving? Annual giving is when a donor makes a gift to the Foundation every year. Robbie says, "The biggest challenge is for us to increase the number of annual donors, not necessarily the size of the individual gifts. Our long term goal is to broaden our base of donors who support our community Hospital."
